INDUSTRY PRODUCTION INCREASES IN MARCH 2025
Washington, D.C., May 5, 2025 – The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports that according to official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), HUD Code manufactured housing industry year-over-year production increased in March 2025. Just-released statistics indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 8,942 new homes in March 2025, at 5.8% increase over the 8,447 new HUD Code homes produced in March 2024. Cumulative production for 2025 now totals 26,188 new HUD Code homes, as compared with 24,277 over the same period in 2024, an 7.8% increase.
A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states from January 2023 — with monthly, cumulative, current reporting year (2025) and prior year (2024) shipments per category as indicated — are:
