MHARR Participates in Conference Briefing by Vice President Mike Pence and HUD Secretary Ben Carson on COVID19 response
MHARR participated in an April 23, 2020 conference and briefing by Vice President Mike Pence and HUD Secretary Ben Carson, among others, for HUD stakeholders regarding the Department’s ongoing response to the national COVID-19 health emergency.
The hour-long conference specifically addressed actions and initiatives being undertaken by HUD, in coordination with the White House Coronavirus Task Force, to address housing and homeownership issues arising from the COVID-19 emergency and related economic impacts across the nation.
As was addressed in greater detail in MHARR’s April 22, 2020 Washington Update, MHARR has been active during the COVID-19 emergency in seeking, among other things, the exemption of all manufactured housing industry segments from state “Stay-at-Home” orders, as well as the full inclusion of manufactured housing in present and future government relief programs arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
MHARR will continue to closely monitor and address, as appropriate, further aspects of this unprecedented situation.
