PRODUCTION TRENDLINE FLAT IN FEBRUARY 2025
Washington, D.C., April 3, 2025 – The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports that according to official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), HUD Code manufactured housing industry year-over-year production was essentially unchanged in February 2025. Just-released statistics indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 8,368 new homes in February 2025, virtually the same — at 0.1% — as the 8,355 new HUD Code homes produced in February 2024. Cumulative production for 2025 now totals 17,246 new HUD Code homes, as compared with 15,830 over the same period in 2024, an 8.9% increase.
A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states from January 2023 — with monthly, cumulative, current reporting year (2025) and prior year (2024) shipments per category as indicated — are:
The February 2025 statistics move Tennessee into 8th place on the cumulative top-ten list, while Kentucky falls to 9th place.
